  • America's Health Rankings
    This report looks at the four groups of health determinants that can be affected: behavior, community and environment, public and health policies, and clinical care.
  • Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS)
    BRFSS is the world’s largest, on-going telephone health survey system, tracking health conditions and risk behaviors in the United States yearly since 1984.
    WONDER online databases utilize a rich ad-hoc query system for the analysis of public health data. Reports and other query systems are also available.
  • CDC: Data & Statistics
    Centers for Disease Control and Prevention clearinghouse for data and statistics by topic.
  • Determinants of Health: Healthy People 2020
    Healthy People provides science-based, 10-year national objectives for improving the health of all Americans.
  • Global Health Atlas from WHO
    WHO’s Communicable Disease Global Atlas is bringing together for analysis and comparison standardized data and statistics for infectious diseases at country, regional, and global levels.
  • Global Health Observatory (GHO)
    The Global Health Observatory (GHO) is WHO's portal providing access to data and analyses for monitoring the global health situation.
  • Health Data Tools and Statistics
    Resources compiled by Partners in Information Access for the Public Health Workforce is a collaboration of U.S. government agencies, public health organizations, and health sciences libraries.
  • Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP)
    HCUP (pronounced "H-CUP") family of health care databases and related software tools and products is made possible by a Federal-State-Industry partnership sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
    This site, sponsored by the US Department of Health and Human Services, seeks to make health data more accessible.

  • National Center for Health Statistics
    The NCHS is the principal resource for health statistics.
  • NIH Data Sharing Repositories
    This is a table that lists NIH-supported data repositories that accept submissions of appropriate data from NIH-funded investigators (and others). Also included are resources that aggregate information about biomedical data and information sharing systems.
  • WHO Global InfoBase
    A data warehouse that collects, stores and displays information on chronic diseases and their risk factors for all WHO member states.
  • World Health Orgainization: Data & Statistics
    WHO is an agency of the United Nations and coordinates international health initiatives and research.
